Bright and early on Saturday 5th November, Nick our home loans manager set up a stand at an event organised by Gosport Borough Council, where there was lots of consumer advice available on topics from insulating your home to health and well-being. The Winter Warmth event went really well and was attended by 526 local residents.
21 exhibitors were at the event and included Home Trust Loan, SSAFA, British Gas, Insulate Hampshire, Citizens Advice Bureau and Gosport Voluntary Action - all were on hand to provide advice and support to those wishing to keep fuel bills down and stay safe and warm during the winter months.
There were even a few pictures taken on the day, one of which included our very own Nick and the Mayor of Gosport! Nick said of the event,
"I enjoy the part of my job which takes me out to visit clients, but I also see the benefit in having the opportunity to provide information to a range of people, face to face and this event is a great way to do that. Exhibitors also have the opportunity to talk to each other, which means that we are even better equipped to provide a broad range of advice and options to clients."
As the event was such a success, a date has been pencilled in to next yaers diary and so, if you wish to attend during 2012, keep Saturday 3rd November free.
